Just for grins; in descending order based upon winning percentage in NCAA tournament. The second number is winning percentage in NIT games. And it should be noted that Bradley has more wins than all of D1 in NIT wins with 24, and is tied for most NIT championships with 4. (numbers are rounded)

Bradley 55% 67%

ISUB 55% 50%

SIU 38% 50%

ISUR 33% 44%

Drake 33% 43%

Valpo 30% 44%

No Iowa 28% 40%

Murray 22% 33%

Eville 17% 33%

Belmont 10% 37%

UIC 0 0

PS I left out our old friends from Missouri State, they won 33% Of NCAA games and 50% of NIT games, but we must remember they were saddled with Barry Hinson for a period.

Shows the impact of being in a league with a winnable seed vs being in a league with a death row seed.

The top-5 have all been in the MVC for generations.

Valparaiso was in the Horizon League.

Northern Iowa was in the Mid-Continent.

Murray/Belmont were in the OVC -- Murray needed top-25 teams to get single digit seeds for two of its wins.

Of course, 10+ years from now, NCAAT winning %'s for lower conferences will be massively skewed and pretty much meaningless due to the 25+ years of 16-seed play-in games.

I didn't look at the wins, but in terms of championships, St. John's has 5 NITs (plus a 6th which was vacated).

Bradley and St. John's met in the 1959 NIT Championship, won by St. John's. And they haven't seen other since - 66 years.

Lesson learned, I would hope. Leave that kind of laziness and incompetence for the Redbirds. ;)
